Dr. Lorita C. Daniels is running for Salem District Representative for the School Board because public service has always been her passion. She dedicated her entire career as an educator serving children and adults, empowering communities, and giving a voice to those who may have been absent from the decision-making circle.

As a previous past president for the Parent Teacher Association, Lorita experienced first-hand the role that parents can play in their children’s education. She wants to continue to promote partnerships between schools and families while also building on her success in the past while addressing educational challenges that may lie ahead. She has a vision for our future and the demonstrated leadership and caring attitude to move us forward.

I believe the support we give our teachers and educational support staff is directly correlated with the quality of outcomes for students. As a public school graduate, I am a public school advocate. I will fight tirelessly for our educators, and for all students and their families in Spotsylvania.

Lorita considers it an honor to represent scholars, teachers and families in her district and help govern the division her son graduated from.
